The Challenge
NPS is currently seeking to expand its alternative investment team based in London with the addition of an experienced candidate(s) at Senior Associate to Vice President level to the London office. The successful candidate will be tasked with covering global Infrastructure markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing deal pipeline for the Infrastructure sector.
- Lead underwriting and monitoring of transactions alongside senior staff based in London and internationally.
- Financial modelling and analysis of companies and transactions.
- Supporting senior team members in the execution of transactions in the Infrastructure sector.
- Build and Manage relationships with direct investment, secondary and co-investment funds.
- Ongoing sector review of global Infrastructure sector, producing market intelligence reports.
- Assist in the development, training and supervision of junior staff.
Professional Experience
Candidates should display multiple skills aligned to the following criteria:
- Degree educated to a minimum of Bachelors level. Preference for degree subjects including Business, Economics or related fields
- 4-7 years of professional experience in Infrastructure investment. Including but not limited to experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Consulting and Private Equity (including direct, secondary and co-investment experience)
o Minimum of 2 years principal investment experience is required
o Transaction experience in European markets is preferred
- Proven ability to lead the structuring and manage execution of transactions
- Lead engagement and negotiation with counterparties
- Assist with managing due diligence programmes, particularly relating to valuation analysis
- Ability to operate independently and cohesively within a small team
